January 2001 I stepped into the real estate world in a rather unconventional footprint. My sister and I had stumbled upon a niche in our industry, REO (real estate owned ) asset management ,working directly with national banking government agencies as well as, asset management servicing companies nationwide. Working in the world of defaulted and compromised assets is a completely different process then the traditional real estate broker experiences. We rolled up our sleeves and went to work for sixteen(16)years, a team of 5-10 at any given time, we handled and processed thousands of bank owned real estate assets. Through national, regional and state foreclosure laws we used our expertise, to navigate an unforeseen trajectory in the history of home ownership. This experience molded me into a well rounded administrator of housing laws, a sharpened evaluator of property values(Broker Price Opinions), helping home owners to understand their options and servicing our clients as their guidelines dictated. There wasn’t any action we didn’t perform from occupancy verification, posting contact information for options, negotiating “cash for keys”, trash outs, contracting services ,a complete over haul of an asset to bring it back to market value if possible. I like to think through this experience, I can see the potential value in all things people and housing alike. It was an honor and a service provided that I think made a disastrous situation, a little bit more bearable with a dose of kindness and consideration for people caught in a tough situation.

In my past lives I worked in the fashion industry for fifteen years, senior event specialist 8 years, in Miami and for the Walt Disney World Corporation, present the past 7 years as the managing principal broker for (w)here real estate! Sitting in this highly coveted spot, I get to watch our company broker’s perform their magic in all things real estate.

Just a mom of two beautiful adult children, two beautiful grand boys, one scrappy pup, and a thankful heart for the experience my real estate profession has taught me.
