He attended Ainsworth Elementary, Lincoln High, and the University of Pavia, Italy before graduating from Portland State University, and over the years he has developed a deep loyalty and appreciation for the Portland community.

Chris' good citizenship and dedication to the community includes â€‹past ​membership in the Hillsdale & Multnomah â€‹Village ​Business Associations and volunteer leadership positions with the Southwest Hills Residential League, Japanese Garden, and multiple Multnomah Club committees. He has been actively involved in the annual Jesuit holiday food drive for the past 20 years.
