Early Hurley
Broker
Early Hurley takes a creative, design-centered approach to residential real estate — she first works to understand elements of the client’s life and then interprets that portrait into the perfect new home. With degrees in both architecture (Portland State University) and journalism (The Evergreen State College), Early views the home as an intersection of the human narrative and the built environment. She knows that the value of a home is more than square footage, bathroom count and solid surface counters; it is the manifestation of a time, place, and the story that you and your family will bring into it. Early’s background in architecture gives her a keen eye for assessing the longevity of design and finishes in new and modern construction. Brainstorming renovation ideas is her specialty. She owns, manages, and develops her own investment properties — something that gives her a specialized knowledge that she enjoys sharing with clients looking for rental properties or land acquisitions. As a devout minimalist, Early knows how to help prepare your home for sale, and is happy to work with (w)here Collabrative Real Estate top notch marketing team to create the perfectly offered property. She learned to seamlessly nest in a new location herself after personally completing five interstate moves with children and dogs in tow, and she is skilled at helping families efficiently find the durability and security that can only come from home — even within our new mobile society. Outside of work, Early shares her 115 year-old four square in North Portland’s Mississippi neighborhood with children Walton, Jackson and Louie and her husband, architect and native Portlander, Dave Hurley. She believes volunteering is how we build community together. Art Museums, bookstores, planes and matinee movies with her youngest son are her happy places — and family dinners, always.
